Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
Haha, I like talking hoops with you man what can I say? Lol From the games I've actually watched in person and the records / schedules I KNOW to be worthy, right now I have: 1. Ironton 2. Warren 3. Athens 4. Piketon 5. WCH 6. Vinton Co. 7. Minford 8. Miami Trace 9. Eastern Brown 10. Valley 11. Easte...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
Rolling through the SHAC doesnt impress me as much as it used to, and if EB had played Miami Trace, Clinton Massie (d3), and Madison Plains (d3) , they d be sitting at 5 losses as well...the poll is suppose to reflect the TOP 10 teams in the district...WHO people play to get their records does matte...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
Ironman, a loss to East Clinton is a "bad" loss?? Have you even seen them play? not sure how you get that...you say the SCOL schools should normally beat the SHL schools , which I agree, they are overall much bigger...but East Clinton is about the same size as the SHL schools, and yet they...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
Yes I agree Danica about the perception the SCOL has created for its self with lack of tournament success...however, I don't agree with 'losses are still losses' philosophy when it comes to discussing who are the overall BEST teams in a district...by that philosophy , what you are saying is that if ...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
Lol ..ok, so I'm confused how your not convinced about the SCOL..i compared them with the SHL because they crosses paths 12 times, and if your not going to look at their non-league wins, how can you be PROVED otherwise?? Bottom line is, SCOL teams have handled a good percentage of their non league o...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
The SCOL is 13-3 (may be a game or 2 off) against the SHL so far this year, and that is against the top teams (EB, Fairfield, Whiteoak, not the bottom), and yes i understand that every team except EC and Madison Plains are bigger than those schools, but still, 13-3 is pretty dominant...and i played ...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 9
WCH might have fallen last night, but it 100% shouldn't affect their rankings in the Southeast...they went on the road to Clinton Massie and lost a nail biter in overtime...Clinton Massie is a 13-3 team who would be the 3rd best team in the Southeast ( behind Ironton and Warren), IF they played in t...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Wk 7
When we played WCH the 2 guys that lit us up were Derek Shaw and Conner Eckles ( hopefully spelled their names correctly ) ...Shaw reminds me a lot of Lawson at Eastern Brown, except Lawson I think has more range...he 's about 6'3" and extremely hard to match up against because he is too big fo...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Wk 7
If you compare strength of schedule and who they've played as a whole, I would have to argue that Washington CH deserves to be ranked above Eastern Brown. I have had the opportunity to watch them both play at least 3 times, and in my opinion I think WCH is overall better. I know they are a bigger sc...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Wk 6 1/2
Massie truly has one of the most physically impressive teams from starters to bench players that I have seen in years..they have six or seven guys that are just flat out out muscular, fast, athletic, and all decent height. But the thing that makes them extremely special is simply their big boy insid...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 6
Miami Trace just got beat by a Clinton Massie team that is the favorite to win the SCOL, and has 8 Varsity players who just won a state championship in football lol if you haven't seen them play, they have some of the strongest and fastest basketball athletes around. Nobody in the southeast has a li...

Re: SEOP Top 10 - Week 6
If the poll is to reflect the BEST 10 teams in the Southeast (regardless of division), then MT and Courthouse definitely should be ranked above ND and Eastern Pike.

Re: Jackson Basketball
SportsJunkie, I am from the "northern" part of the Southeast, so I really don't know any specifics about the Jackson situation, but I do work at a high school and coach high school boys basketball, and my only comment is, there MIGHT have been unavoidable reasons for WHY the administration...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 5
Those are some really tough teams in that Elite 8! I've been able to watch all but 4 of them play....been able to see Eastern Brown and Miami Trace in action twice, probably should switch them on the list. If they met head-to-head, Trace would win that no doubt...play bigger schools, tougher schedul...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio -Week 4
I've been high on Miami Trace ever since I saw them, and with Pettiford back they were impressive last night so I am told. They are big, fast, strong, and extremely aggressive. They are a FORCE no doubt, would handle most teams in the Southeast I truly believe, and I have 100% no ties to Trace
