Re: North South All Star Game Friday Ohio D1-D4
Congrats to both of these guys. Marietta is good school for Jake being a top D3 nationally and local and Trey signing at Rio is super smart on his part. NAIA has a deceptive amount of $ for athletics as opposed to a lot of D3 schools that need to manipulate academic funds for athletes without athlet...

Re: North South All Star Game Friday Ohio D1-D4
I ended up going. The kid from Olentangy (Davis) was player of the game with 38. He is a Toledo recruit 6'5 shooter. Jones from Gahanna was the most impressive (Marquette) with several threes and numerous dunks. Singleton had 20 over a dozen assists. Sallee had a couple threes and some inside work.M...

North South All Star Game Friday Ohio D1-D4
A few locals here Robertson, Singleton and Sallee along with the big names (Sincere Harris Akron St V). Heck of an honor. Friday at Olentangy Liberty High School.

Re: Trey Robertson Class of 2022
Parents, coaches and kids looking down on D2 and NAIA offers may find themselves lacking. As mentioned before the transfer portal is a critical element now. Colleges recruit up and down the college spectrum looking for talent scouring the D3-D1 kids and HS recruits are now taking a back seat. If you...

Re: REGIONAL FINAL: Waverly vs Heath
Yes, split session - D3 game at 1:00.. I’d say reschedule for Sunday if snow postpones it. Not sure what else they have going on at the convo. Agree with this assessment. I felt like the biggest mistake Meadowbrook made was continually getting in half court sets. Press push and take your chances. I...

Re: REGIONAL FINAL: Waverly vs Heath
I think Heath uses an extremely similar game plan tomorrow that they did last night vs Meadowbrook. Waverly and Meadowbrook mirror each other in many ways. Like they did with Singleton I believe Heath face guards Trey and traps/doubles him any chance they get, will see others stepping up to help wh...

Re: REGIONAL FINAL: Waverly vs Heath
If Heath can't beat Meadowbrook by more than 3 points, they are not being Waverly. I disagree. They aren't much different and Heath missed a lot of foul shots and open looks. Without Singleton this game would have been a blowout. Heath beat Waverly with the same team at Waverly's place last year. I...

Re: REGIONAL FINAL: Waverly vs Heath
Copied from Waverly/McClain thread: The things I saw that stood out about Heath was their defense. They are one of the best teams I've seen at switching on screens and playing help. The switches also never give you a worse defender since everyone is either big, fast or both. Obviously their size and...

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
Heath is going to be a really difficult matchup for Waverly with their size. Teams with more than one big do that to many teams. Not sure who guards #35? Heath also has an advantage by playing a team in Meadowbrook that is VERY similar to Waverly. They had a guard that played much like Robertson, s...

Re: D3 Regional Wheelersburg Pirates vs Sugarcreek Garaway Pirates
Watched Meadowbrook match up against Garaway in summer league. The colts only had a couple current starters playing possibly the same with Garaway. The one thing that stood out was Garaway's physicality. I believe Garaway had most of their kids because they seemed pretty strong.

Re: A strange thing about the upcoming Regional games..
Meadowbrook and Heath are both orange teams and have a four legged mammal as a mascot.

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
You may be able to look into the crystal ball for the regional finals by watching the early game. Some common opponents stand out. Meadowbrook beat Sheridan by 16 earlier in the year and honestly the game wasn't very close. Sheridan is an improved team but Meadowbrook is probably still a lot stronge...

Re: D2 Regional Semi Waverly (1 Seed) vs McClain (2 Seed)
Should be another classic … sure will be nice to be back in the Convo for sure!!! The purple and gold Tiger fans have been waiting a long time to make a return trip!! After going what seemed to be every year it’s been a looooong time!! Just curious … who are the other two teams in the regional? I b...

Re: EAST DISTRICT D2
I look at Waverly and Meadowbrook with two sub 5'11 guards in Robertson and Singleton who get 25-30 plus every night. They get doubled and faceguarded by these so called big boy players and teams and it makes me laugh. They may not win but they will get their respect I guarantee that. It would be gr...

Re: EAST DISTRICT D2
Be proud. Meadowbrook faces a dominant, tall Health Bulldog team Thursday at 6 in Athens in the regional semi. LCL > MVL small school biddy league champion, or some Southeastern District school with no bench. Heath has had a good team the last few years with three great players coming together. Tha...

Re: EAST DISTRICT D2
Meadowbrook 78 Tri-Valley 68. Colts survive the gauntlet beating the #1 and #2 seed back to back and win the East D2 for the fifth time in six years. This went to OT on a last second three by Meadowbrook. Singleton sat for over a quarter with four fouls, three other Meadowbrook starters played the e...

Re: EAST DISTRICT D2
Absolutely, the MVL is a big boy conference for sure and will continue to be didn't know...Looked like all of the usuals to me Chandler Smith Neal Lyles (2) Burkhart. Should be a good game no doubt either way. TV is the favorite, that is why they are the #2 seed, well coached, big inside, mature gua...
