Re: St Jude vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
Does St Jude recruit? Seems like all these catholic schools hold down their enrollment and then get decent athletes thus allowing them to win state title after state title against watered down competition. Ridiculous statement. We have 100 students 7-12. We hold our student athletes to a higher aca...

Re: St Joe vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
This is St. Joseph's first year in a conference in a long time. For years it was hard to find decent games because everyone else was in conference play at the end of the year. To finish second in the SOC 1 is impressive especially considering the team finishing first was a legit top 10 DIV all year ...

Re: St Joe vs Fed Hock District Semi’s
ISJ has proven they are battle tested winning some very close games lately. Grit and determination has gotten this team (with an OHSAA BBK enrollment of 24) to the Convo! Go Flyers!

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph
After a Junior High game where the girls played and then were cheerleaders for the boys some one told me, "I expected those girls to sell concessions and clean up, too. They do everything."

Re: Ironton v Ironton St. Joseph
Maybe they could do an annual "exhibition" game. Donations at the gate could benefit an agreed Ironton charity. Alumni game before the high school guys. Lots of give aways, hold a 3-point contest and party afterwards at the Knights.

One of the best high school games I've seen in a while. That kicker from Alex has quite the leg & accuracy!

Re: 10/24 St. Joseph v South Webster
Congratulations St. Joseph on a great season. With a male base enrollment of 23, I would guess they were the smallest school in the state playing for a district championship.

Well, St. Joseph already beat the #1 seed so there is no reason to believe they can't beat the #2. Go Flyers!

Re: WK9 Warren @ Alexander
Didn't see Friday's game, but Alex's problem in passing is getting the ball to the QB. Snaps are consistently low (or on the ground) making it difficult for the QB to have time to pass. As one radio announcer said, " this far into the season it would have been corrected."

Re: SOC1 Race is Close
Agree to some degree, but the players probably knew he was ineligible. Did they tell their parents? Ask the coaches? It may not be their responsibility to do so, but they probably knew. Was it just a coincidence the player did not play in any conference games until senior night, and then against new...

Re: 10-19: Boys North Adams vs St. Joe
Very physical game! We won but the officiating was quite questionable. I can see a ref missing a call, but many obvious fouls were "play-on", while yellows were handed out on seemingly minor infractions.

The field is not "Pat Patterson" but Paul Patterson (former coach & principal). Pat Patterson was a police officer.Half Slice wrote: ↑Fri Oct 18, 2019 10:56 pm The gap looked wide between these programs tonight at Pat Patterson Field.
