Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
Congratulations Jackson, you are the only team we played this year that was without a doubt better than us. Although we did not have the speed to contain Osborne, it was your first half defense that won the game. Stopping us inside the five twice was big. You made a statement by stopping our opening...

I'm sure I am too old to understand trash talking. I find it ignorant on this forum and on the field. Try acting like you've won before.

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
If I were the coach responsible for an offensive game plan against GAHS I would do the following: Early in the game see how they defend wide line splits. If they neutralize the wide splits, run between the tackles only enough to keep them honest. If they don't handle the wide splits run the QB sneak...

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
I try to stay away from predicting winners on this forum. I believe most everyone knows I am a GAHS fan. I don't ever remember predicting a score. I'll try it and see how close I come. It will probably be my first and last attempt.
Taylor kicks five field goals and Gallipolis wins 22-21.

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
kvnchambers........you were not the only one that noticed coach Eddy without headphones last week. That does not mean he is not responsible for them going back to the wing-T. It also does not mean he was responsible for it. In a previous post I was just speculating that he was. I also agree that we ...

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
kvnchambers........I am thinking that coach Eddy became so unhappy with our offense that he put his foot down and we went back to the wing-T. (Just my guess) It is great to see that #10 doesn't have to do it all. It is a tribute to his toughness and warrior mentality that even though he has been din...

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
When you look at comparative scores with common foes--Jackson is favored by 33 points in the Wellston game, 12 in the Ironton game, 28 against Logan, 12 vs. Warren, 29 against Chillicothe and 47 through the Portsmouth game. Not conceding mind you, just looking at the facts. As I have previously sta...

Re: Week 9--Warren Local (4-4) at Gallipolis (5-3)
Some questions that will decide the outcome: Can the Blue Devils consistently pressure Leffingwell? I don't think Warren is going to beat GA running the ball. The Blue Devil D is just too stout up the middle. If Warren is going to succeed, they're going to have to throw it around. Given enough time...

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
Last year Jackson neutralized the 'up the middle' strength of the GAHS defense with their offensive line splits. We never adjusted in that game. Friday against WL we had a possesion that we over powered them running the ball, but when we were deep in the red zone we decided to throw wide and it ende...

Re: Week 10: Jackson (9-0) vs. Gallia Academy (6-3)
There will be many all league players on the field for this game. If you don't have anything better to do come out and watch them. Don't know of much that would be better.

Re: Running a good little league program
Let me start by saying I am a senior citizen. I have had sons and grandsons, daughters and granddaughters play multiple sports, the earliest started somewhere near the 3rd grade. I think you would see no difference in an athletes high school varsity ability if they didn't play until jr hi. Also ther...
