How many have Jr. high golf teams?

Thinking about starting a Jr. High program to be a feeder system to start a high school team later on. Can anyone give me information on if there are jr high programs and when the season is. Cost? Practice?
Would appreciate any help, thanks.

South Point has one . I think they play in the spring but I am not positve on that one.

Warren, Belpre, and Marietta all have jr high golf programs.

South Point does play in the spring. I also think in the OVC that Fairland and Peake also have Middle School teams as well.

The Varsity Coach at Marietta "Joe Matheny" has had a Middle School program for many years, he is also the President of the Ohio High School Golf Coaches Association.I am sure he would be able to give you all the info you need. Call the AD at MHS "Rick Guimond" at 740-374-6540-Ext.24 and he could put you in touch with Coach Matheny.

Is this the first year for Clay to have Junior High golf? I don't think that they have had it in the past.

No, they have had one since I have played and I'm a senior.
