There will be a delay in Gallia Academy's defensive stats this week. GAHS' cameraman ran out of tape at halftime. Coach Eddy and his staff are going to try to borrow Jackson's tape to finish charting the tackles, etc.

Agree with mmd, thank you Jottings for the dedication and effort. I can tell you from experience that these stats in a scrapbook will be looked over by sons, daughters and wives. Hopefully grandsons and granaughters will also check out the scrap books we took so much time to put together.

He is a potential D1 player. He needs to get to a higher competition level if he is moving. That should make him even better and get him more exposure. He also needs to become a student of the game to prepare him for a possible D1 scholarship. If he isn't going to accomplish those things by moving, he should stay where he is.

I don't think anyone turned their back on anyone. I understand that there were problems with some players being able to grasp the playbook. I know of some that struggled there, and had their playing time reduced because of that. One in particular was a mainstay of our defense, early on he was given the opportunity to play both ways but could not get a handle on the offensive play book.
I also heard one player's time on the field was restricted because he did not put out if he was not directly involved in the play. The only way you can get a player's attention, if he is not moving in the proper direction is by restricting his playing time.
I doubt that there is a team in the state that some fan is not happy with who is in the starting line up. I personally thought that a certain player should have been benched this year and was not. I am certain that the coaches played who they thought should be on the field.
I complained many times about the offense we ran and the play calling. I was complaining as a fan and never thought the coaching staff shouldn't be making those decisions.

I was'nt going to comment on this but o'well Williams is good but he is'nt great-------- not yet He has the skills to be great but moving would be a huge mistake He will see plenty of playing time next year and will be the Mainstay of GAHS Defense maybe more but going somewhere else and starting over will be very hard I agree he should have been on the field more this year I think he would have matured alot. his sheer size alone will get him looks he needs to slim down an improve his speed and strength through the summer

Earlier in the year there were questions about the accuracy of the blue devil defensive stats. I did not and do not condone the padding of stats. However the stats turned into Jottings are ultra conservative, and the following newpaper article is the reason this is unfair to players who may be considered for all district/all state.

Maybe coaches are ultra-conservative with defensive numbers if they know all of their opponents can access them on a public forum?
