Wk7 Nelsonville-York @ Wellston

Post by Orange and Brown »

Nelsonville-York invades Wellston to battle the yellow rockets. NY is coming off a win over Meigs and the Rockets are coming off a win over TVC newcomer River Valley.

Will the Bucks come away with the win?
Will Wellston make it 2 in a row against the Bucks?
Thoughts?
Predictions?

If someone can tell me which Rocket team will show up I would hazard a guess in this one. It appears that NY handled RV a little easier than Wellston did, but Wellston went to NY last year and won.

Wellston returns almost everyone and have a couple pretty good skill players that can do damage especially if they get in the open field and especially on special teams (punt and kick returns).

NY will play hard-nosed and fundamental, so this is a toss-up.

Probably one of the better match-ups in the TVC this week.

Good luck to both squads.

Wellston way to inconsistent. If the team would show up that played Jackson, then I would expect a real close game, but I would still take the Buckeyes. If the team that got ran off the field by Oak Hill shows up, then the Buckeyes win going away. I'll take the middle . . . Nelsonville-York 21-7. Going to be a tough three weeks for the Rockets. Good luck to both teams.

Its because of adding Athens. For years all the league games were the same weeks every year. When Athens came they had to make changes. So we played at your place for 2 straight years.

Where's all the Rocket and Buckeye faithful this week. Our buddy Boilermaker hasn't been around for a while. Any other opinions on tomorrow's game. Both teams healthy? Will the weather effect the game? I'll take the Buckeyes by a couple of scores.

I'll. take the Rockets 28 26. Same score as Wellston over the Bucks tonight at Boston Field in the Jr. High game . Great game by both teams. I am hoping for an injury free, hard fought contest.
