48-13 in 3rd quarter
Still the score with running clock and about 6:00 to go.
On the running clock rule.....clock still stops on timeouts by officials (injury/cramps etc), timeouts by teams, after a score and end of a quarter

Congrats to the Ironman on a hard fought victory. The Rockets were outnumbered but played with the Ironmen through the first half. It is going to be an exciting season for both teams,. I was proud that the Spires family presented the game ball and both teams wore 57 on the back of their helmets. Even though we lost, I am glad we played.

Re: Jackson at Wellston
The Wellston player was released yesterday from the hospital with a concussion. I thought it was a good game in the first half. Wellston looked faster than Jackson with the punt and kickoff returns. Wellston's defense gave up some critical big plays but overall was solid and at times in the backfield making plays for a loss. The 3rd quarter was a back breaker for Wellston. A couple key injuries occurred and it looked like jackson's depth was a factor. I think jackson could be 6-4 or 7-3 this season. They didnt look to be dominant up front, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

I agree Blue Duck on your assessment of Jackson. I know it was the first game, but if they don't improve a lot, with their schedule they are 7-3 this year. They could not run the ball right at Wellston. I will stay with my pre-season predictions of 7-3 for Jackson and 4-6 for Wellston. I hope the Wellston athlete is ok and recovers fully.
