Rock Hill seem to be improved from the past few years. Portsmouth had some dumb penalties, and a few unlucky turnovers. Also bad coaching when you’re only up 7, you have 2 timeouts with like 1:20 left ball would’ve been at midfield and you elect to let the clock run out and not try to get the ball back. Game got a little chippy at times, refs weren’t great for either side. I feel like Portsmouth could’ve thrown the ball all over the field but for some reason didn’t. RH couldn’t cover the deep ball at all. Game could’ve easily been 42-14 Portsmouth. But a win is a win. Good luck to RH the rest of the way. Big game against Gallia at home next week for the Trojans.

Congratulations to the Trojans on the win. QB Tyler Duncan had a big night for PHS, running and passing Portsmouth to the win. Rock Hill stayed in the game until midway in the 4th quarter, when the Trojans scored the clinching TD. The Redmen passed for 130 yards, which is far more than what they have done in the past vs. PHS. Jayden Duncan, Devin Lattimore, and Nolan Heiland all had TD passes from Duncan.

Now comes the toughest stretch of the schedule for Portsmouth, with Gallia Academy, Coal Grove, Fairland, and Ironton ahead. To beat Gallia next week, the Trojan defense must play their best game of the season to date. Just trying to outscore GAHS won't favor PHS.
