Next year just might be the year they finally get by the Burg. But then again, they have had the better team quite a few times and haven't gotten it done so we'll just have to wait and see.

I think they will struggle with West and Minford next year.

I think they will finish 3rd in the conference, maybe 2nd. But they have a ton of athletes coming back so they could really be a dark horse next year in Region 19.

That's a really good rundown on what the Indians have coming back in 2011. As long as Blake is healthy, Valley can beat anyone. He is just that good. As far as some of the other positions, and this is pure speculation, I have to think Patrick Riehl will start at one of the 5 line spots. I could also see Alex Hartley moving back down inside and leaving Dunn to start at tight end. Hayden is a talented athlete. I look for Luke to get the majority of the carries, but Valley's offense will be carried by the pass and the running of Blake Yates. On the other side of the ball, most of the front seven returns as well as Yates and Dwyer in the secondary. Brice Crabtree, Alex Holcomb, and others will be tough to replace, but 2011 should be a great year for the Indians.

Valley has some younger talent... nate arnett broke the freshmen deadlift record by getting 405 as a running back... the kid has potential...

Yeah luck took them to the playoffs 4 straight years and to the regional semis last year.

Some people should turn their brain on before their fingers hit the keyboard.

Should be a fine 2011 season for the Indians
Yates will be back and ready to play and will more experience he will more than likely be a better player than last year
I don't know about you but I think that will make him pretty darn good

They are loaded! Should be the best team they have had in years. If they can't win the league and make a deep run in the playoffs, it will NEVER happen.

That would be ridiculous if true, Coach V is one of the best around...anyway this group makes me raise an eyebrow, they beat us last year and are very talented, they could win. I hope and do not think that they will, but its very possible

I don't think so, he plays AAU ball so he'll get most of his attention there

This post has been dormant for a while. I was just wondering how the indians looked in their scrimmage vs. Piketon.

Is this true? If so, it is a shame because he is one of the better players in the area.........

No its not true. I was told he is nursing an injury and should be back in a couple of weeks. Blake is to muck of a competitor.

Defense looked sharp, controlled the line of scrimmage. Had 2-3 plays where Portsmouth athletes exposed holes in the secondary. I think once Yates is back at safety those holes will be closed.
