Wellston
Week 1 @Jackson (11-1)
Week 2 @Huntington (3-7)
Week 3 Adena (3-7)
Week 4 Portsmouth West (7-4)
Week 5 @Alexander (5-5)
Week 6 River Valley (5-5)
Week 7 @Nelsonville York (7-4)
Week 8 Athens (14-1)
Week 9 Meigs (5-5)
Week 10 Vinton County (2-8)

I would guess maybe 3-7

Are the kids lifting? Drove by the weight room this afternoon at 3 and no one was there. The kids needs to be in their hitting the weights learning what the new coach will be like or it's going to be a long season.

Phillips has to finish his year teaching in northern ohio at St. Marys. So its safe to say he won't be involved with the kids until June. Even if they are let in the field house to lift, how good is that doing them without the head coach around?

No assistant coaches or volunteers? The kids needs to be in their working as team and getting ready for the season. I went through a coaching change at Wellston and the weight room was never closed. The new coach was there as much as he could've been and the old coach was still on us about grades and getting in the weight room. Needs to be better communication, the kids need to be getting better not sitting around and getting worse.

I don't expect the yellow Rockets to do much better than any other past year. Hopefully their new coach can start them in the right direction for the future though.

Will we see the rocket sweep and the mid-line option from the Golden Rockets this fall?

My opinion is we will see the annual beating handed out from Jackson in week 1. Hopefully the new coach will continue to get the kids to run through brick walls like "Dutch" did.

Wellston vs Jackson is like Logan vs Lancaster week 1. Never competive. Wellston should drop Jackson and play it in the jamboree game

Does anyone know of what coaches will be on the new staff? Is Briggs going to be brought back? Someone needs to get the weight room opened and get the kids in there.

They have at least one assistant who has now been with every team in the county.
