Terry Decommits from ND

Just saw online that Terry decommitted from the Irish. Any word as to why?

Just read that he visited Missouri, and the ND coaches didn’t take kindly to it. If he had not decommitted on his own, sounds like they were going to “encourage” him to do so.

At ND if you commit it is encouraged you end all other visits. ND has continued to recruit other WR’s rated higher than Terry. As a ND fan I had high hopes but not surprised with this.

ND’s WR class already had the sons of Plaxico Burress and Jerome Bettis locked in. They also have gone in on the 4* kid from the Indy area who is a taller and more polished version of Terry, and you can’t put too much resource exhaustion toward the slot group. At least not if you’re ND.

It’s a bad break. He will bounce back and find a good home.

Not really surprised. Taking a chance on a small school kid. Would like to see kids like him, Johnson, etc. start out at a Marshall, MAC school, or even an IU, Purdue type deal. Much better chance of getting on the field early and if they perform well the transfer portal is always open now especially with the added year or two in a D1 program to develop physically and mentally. At the end of the day pick a school that also suits them academically because of all the sports available to us football is the poorest and least available for long term participation

Nothing wrong with changing his mind. It’s a big decision and I’m sure he will find the place that he feels most comfortable.

Heard that several schools are dangling major NIL money, which led to him visiting those schools, which led to ND wanting him to decommit. Plus ND has a pretty good group of WR in that class. Probably best for everyone.

I wish him well wherever he decides to go. Missouri is a good school with decent facilities.
