Books You would Recommend
Re: Books You would Recommend
Books to movies:
Have any of you seen Tyler Perry's "Alex Cross"?
I have read and enjoyed all James Patterson's series of Alex Cross mystery books.
And I really liked Morgan Freeman in the role in two movies made of these books.
I can't quite get my head around "Madea" as smart, serious PHD dective Alex Cross!

Re: Books You would Recommend
I always have a book available and in-progress - and I've taken many of the suggestions posted.
I'm currently reading Jodi Picoult's novel Sing You Home [which has a CD of the music included]

Re: Books You would Recommend
I cook and I read - that's mostly my day now that I'm retired and without kids.
As long as I have books available, I'll NEVER be "bored". There are some genres that don't attract me, but I don't insult those who are. READING is ALWAYS good.

Author T. Jefferson Parker - mysteries, but deeper than just police procedurals.
Laguna Heat, Pacific Beat, et al - I'm reading The Fallen right now.
He writes characters with flaws that you care about and want to know more.
Do you reckon 'tucky who is so dismissive/hateful/insulting of all who don't pray/worship to his standards which he thinks should be ENFORCEABLE LAW is even LITERATE or ever reads? Really doubt it - he HATES education/literature!
