Greenfield defeated Lynchburg, Washington CH defeated Leesburg, and Hillsboro defeated Whiteoak tonight at the SCOL-SHL challenge. Whiteoak/Hillsboro game came down to the wire, 57-55 final score I believe....puts SCOL 7-0 against SHL this year if what I've read is correct

The SCOL should take it to the SHAC

I was surprised by how competitive the games were. It should be 7-0 every year.

The games were mostly very tight....the size comparisons are funny. Is the biggest SHL school as big as the smallest SCOL?

Whiteoak vs Hillsboro....at Southern State I'll assume, in Hillsboro. Hillsboro needs a late shot to win it? Fairfield/Court House? Check out those numbers per OHSAA.

I agree, they should...just stating an observation, because based off of the weekly rankings you see posted on here, the SHL teams are almost always ranked higher than the SCOL teams, week in, week out, year in, year out. But when they usually meet on the court, the outcome is typically the same, yet the rankings each year look the same. And I'm an SHL guy, just pointing out an observation...but you are right, the enrollment numbers are larger, and that is definitely an advantage

i think it is relative to the division they play in. wch, gm, and hillsboro are weak d2 teams and wo, and lf are strong d4 teams who get better by playing a lot of d3 and d2 teams. lc is a very average d3 team but have been solid in the past. lc and wo have been to the final four.

I hear ya, and agree, but I also am under the impression that the rankings on here that we all enjoy following and debating are suppose to rank the overall BEST teams in the entire Southeast District...my point was simply that some teams on here typically get ranked below other teams, when they are actually BETTER than teams ranked above them. Like right now for example, WCH and McClain are ranked below 5 SHL teams in several lists, and in my opinion those 5 teams are not better. Maybe one or two are, but not all 5

i have never put much stock in polls especially high school polls. it is impossible to see every school in the se district, therefore, all of these polls are completely subjective and are influenced by the opinion of a minority of people. they enjoy doing it,so what's the harm?

Paint Valley isn't atop the SVC but they did just beat a pretty good Vinton County team.

That Whiteoak margin is silly. Everyone must've been pretty on and without foul trouble.

Paint Valley just won at a good Vinton County team....then gets beat by 40?
