I think this will be pretty spot on. A couple teams may flip-flop spots, but I think this looks good.

I think that if the higher seeds win out, you could have some really fun sectional finals.

Votes must be in Friday and most coaches will have that done before Friday nights games. Coaches do not have to attend the meeting on Sunday only an administrator to turn in rosters and get tickets for first round games. They will get a list of how coaches voted but a mute point.

How is it set up in the SE District this year? Here in the NW District, we are also doing online voting, and also giving teams a choice of where to go in the bracket based on your seed(example 1 seed picks their spot in bracket, followed by 2,3,4 and so on). In theory a #1 or #2 seed could elect and have done in the past to NOT take the bye, allowing the 3 or 4 to take it. Is the SE still going chalk in terms of team placement, or do teams get to choose where they go based on seed as in the NW?

Nope knowledge that is forward thinking and definately unheard of here in southeast ahia! Still sending 14 teams in DIII to Waverly and 14 to Jackson, even though if you went super sectional the furthest you would have to drive is the difference between Waverly and Jackson, a whopping 25 miles! lol

SE District needs to get on the same page as the rest of OHIO! Voting online is fine, but let the coaches choose their path!!!

Yeah, it is a whole new concept/joy for me. At first I was thinking, I want to avoid this seed and that seed, etc, until I remembered you choose your path in the bracket by your seed.

Here is what I would love to see happen....(it never will)

All 28 coaches seed all 28 teams. The 28 teams are then ranked in order. Fill out the bracket with teams 5-28. Teams 1-4 (Who would be teams getting the sectional semi byes) then get to pick which spot they want to go (well #4 doesn't really get to pick).

Here's the kicker....Hand out the sheet with who voted who where before the big dogs get to pick. That way (using this year as an example) Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Valley, and (for arguments sake) Zane Trace get to see who put them where when they pick their path.

I think that would make it really interesting.

I guess there are 29 teams so there would only be 3 byes.

Yes, very interesting, we get to see how everyone voted Friday night, and that gives you 2 days to "think" it over.. ;-)

about how we had it figured,,,,I don't understand why they do the votes now before regular season is complete I have to think somewhere there would be games that would mean something that now wont. the games now that aren't being played for a league title wont be as exiting . Portsmouth will play the winner of eastern brown and west union. soo looks like about 2 weeks of for my Trojans.
