It wasn't a meeting to get rid of him. It was a regular monthly board meeting the school district every month and a few parents showed up. I heard the administration and board members put these parents in their place. Board voted 5-0 Coach Simms will be back next year as the head coach. Hard getting rid of a guy who won AP district coach of year, district 13 coach of the year, and TVC hocking coach of the year and went 19-5 and district runners up. Congrats on another victory and good luck next season to the Wildcats and Coach Simms.

Congrats to the lady cats on being state champions!

Good for Waterford administration!!!! Regardless of whether you are for or against Coach Simms, it is time administers and Boards stand up to parents.

fbnut,
I'm not sure the wins and losses are the real issues. At least from the outside looking in that is what it looks like.

I was told by the boss not to say anything about Southern so I won't.

I DID NOT put a gag order on my staff here. I just ask that you treat Raine Southern Fightin Hustling Purple Tornado Basketball with the respect it deserves when you post. After all, we were almost champions twice.

Bloom Carroll is open after Tom Petty resigns after 36 years.

@twil2323: Bloom-Carroll boys basketball coach Tom Petty has resigned after 36 seasons. He has 622 wins, 14 league titles, 11 district titles. #eghss

Glad to see him go as an FU alum, and someone who's tired of losing to him! BUT, its a huge loss for the MSL too! He's a great great coach!

Big loss for the MSL-Buckeye. Tom's teams always played very fundamentally sound, especially with solid man defense. Best wishes to him in retirement.

Hey, maybe if they court Eversole over to "the dark side", that could open the door for Seth Martin to go to FU!

believe me, I've thought about that already. I will draft an email to be sent to the FU AD immediately if that happens, lol. I have a little bit of a man coaching crush on Martin, lol. I think he's going to be a superstar coach.
