1/15 - IRONTON 79 VS Dayton Horizon 15 - FINAL

Post by caglewis »

ALMOST GAME TIME
ON THE RADIO - WIRO 1230 AM
ON THE INTERNET AT: http://www.foxsports1420.com/main.html.
Ignore the "LISTEN LIVE" link at the upper left - it doesn't work! - INSTEAD....
Scroll down a ways and in the middle column click on the box showing both the Fox Sports and the iheartradio logos; then click on stream HERE; then put in ZIPcode 45638 in the small box at the top left. Then click on Fox Sports 1230 & 1420. Kind of cumbersome, I know, but it gets you there!

The pre-game show just came on at 1:45 - and I have it playing perfectly on the computer, too!!! [Which is kind of confusing because the computer is a few seconds behind the radio - I've got an echo in here!!]

IT = IRONTON TIGERS ........ DH = DAYTON HORIZON SCIENCE ACADEMY HAWKS

The ONLY way to gain exerience and get better is to PLAY. I can't ROOT for them against the FightingTigers; but I certainly do ADMIRE THEM for their effort and willingness to play!!!

this was not at Ironton is was in the toureny at Cheasapeake,so Ironton had no hand in scheduling them.....

I would guess Dayton team knew what they were getting into to......

I could have pulled five guys out of the stands and beat this team. Their coach seemed like he could care less. All he did was joke with his players.

Wasn't Piketon supposed to be Ironton's original opponent in this tourney or was that a completely different game?

Irontons bench had 37 of those points.

So this Dayton team was considered a Beast Of The Southeast???

Did Chesapeake have that much trouble schedling teams for this tourney that they had to get this team tp play instead of someone that would have been a little better competition?

with almost 50% of the points coming from the bench it doesn't sound like rubbing it in.
With this much playing time coming from the bench it is good game time

Anytime you beat a team by 64 points is rubbing it in. It doesn't matter who scores how much. There is absolutely no point in beating a team by that much, especially one that's only been in existence for two years and is obviously struggling. To me, it's just disrespectful.

For saying that beating a team by 64 points is pointless? Sorry, I guess I just think teams should have a little class. My bad.

If the bench scored double what Horizon's entire team had it was not rubbing it in. Cant fault subs for playing well.

Okay, that makes more sense as to why this team was at the tourney. Being a last minute replacement then I commend them for coming down to play. Still one heck of a thumping though. Reminds me of the time the Wellston coach scheduled his team to play Oak Hill Academy in their own tourney and got beat by almost 100 points. Just doesn't do much for your program to get beat by that much.
