Warren Warriors 2013-2014

Post by WarriorBlue »

Never easy to replace seniors especially the seniors at Warren this past year. The good news is the powerful engine that powers the BLUE BUS French, Patton and Hall all return. The cupboard isn't bare as the JV team posted a 21-0 record and are excited about making their mark wearing the beloved Blue & White. Kidder, Henthorn and Mazurkawitz will bring added quickness and scoring ability to the Warrior lineup. Andrew Drayer and Marshall Church will provide tuffness in the paint. With FPH (French, Patton and Hall) all a year older and stronger should be able to dominate. With a full year under his belt playing G the Warriors should be able to take advantage of that mismatch on a nightly basis. Until you get to the Final 4 not to many 6' 6" G on the schedule. Pattons ability to jump shoot and get to the rim make him very dangerous. French 1st team all state 'nuff said.
2013 Warren Warriors 26-2 SEOAL, Sectional, District and Regional Champions with a trip to the FINAL 4 is a tuff act to follow!

This year's ride was a great ride and as a fan and alumni of Warren, I can truly say I will never forget it. As a child would say, "Do it again!".

WarriorBlue - do you have the Warren "schedule" for the 2013-14 season ? ... will be interesting to see the non-conference part of the BBB schedule for the upcoming campaign ... Coach Maddox I'm sure has had all of the phone calls he cares to take concerning teams wanting a piece of the Warrior Blue next season ...

Pfloyd no schedule as of yet.

The toughest replacement will be Dylan Leffingwell. This kid is just top notch. The leadership he provided in the locker room was unmeasurable. A leader in EVERY sense of the word most of which didn't show up in the box score. Trying to replace him on the court wil be a much easier task. That task will probably be done by committee with Andrew Drayer 6'4" Sr and Marshall Church a 6'5" Sr. Both may lack experience both both will bang with Drayer being better offensively. French, Hall and Patton all rebound pretty good too. Add Muzeriwitz, Kidder and Henthorn and the Warriors at least on paper look pretty good. If those new kids can defend at the varsity level we could see a squel to the 2013 season.
