I went down to Racine tonight and covered Fed Hock/Southern ... Gym was completely packed with fans, buses were fine from Stewart to Racine - yes it was a bit nippy - but roads were dry, clear and all in all it wasn't that bad.

I don't know ... I think everyone could have played tonight, but that's just me.

I'd have liked to had games tonight here, but it's hard to close school for the cold and then say it's warm enough to play games.

Athens did it on Friday vs Meigs ...

Too cold for school (so many kids waiting at bus stops) ... but game went ahead as scheduled ... 15 kids on one bus is a little different than hundreds on many.

Since I got to see one last night, Floyd ... does that mean I '1-upped' you yet again? lol

BTW ... You should have came down there last night ... not only was it a 'Caldwell vs Caldwell' match-up on the floor, the gym was full of other coaches from around the area ... lots of 'basketball knowledge and wisdom' was packed into Southern's new gymnasium to watch the Lancers and Tornados.

Cant believe LE-ZT cancels and CV is playing... is there that big of a temperture difference in that 3 miles?

Highly doubtful, but also remember how huge the LE school district is. I'm pretty sure Laurelville and the backroads around 180 are still pretty rough, so there could be an issue on player safety getting to and from the game for the Braves. Logan Elm school has missed about 61 days so far and it's mostly because of those areas...that being said, I have no idea if that's the reasoning for the postponement or not, just throwing an idea out there.

Both teams are open Thursday and Saturday.
ZT was suppose to play Eastern Pike Saturday, but it has been moved to later.
Eastern is playing a league game.

I was wondering when the baseball rule of league games taking prescident over non league who come into play. Let's just hope that everyone can finish league play and anything else is just icing on the cake.

Unioto 78
Piketon 55 final

... Unioto down 46-47 in the 3rd went on a 32-8 run to win going away ... the Shermans went 11/13 from the floor in the 4th quarter (85%) ... on the plus side Piketon looks to get Jeremy Farmer back in a week or so ... everybody needs a 6-5 post player returning from injury going into the last 3 weeks of the season and going into the post season tournament action ...

Marietta 59
Cambridge 52

Tigers avenge earlier season loss with the win. The big boys Jon Wood and Brayden Riley lead Marietta with 21 apiece.
