I'll not comment on the call/non-call except to say it is a shame that any controversy marred this game.
It was a great game. Both teams were at full throttle the entire time. This was a game that had real entertainment value that added to the overall quality of the evening.

I want to comment on the nice support the Alexander team had last night. For the long trip a very nice crowd. We've had a couple games where there weren't enough people from the other side to even have a good debate let alone a good fight. It's nice to see the kids get that support. We've been blessed with good parents and fans at FU.

Smeltzy, my point was to not comment on the supposed call/non-call, I think you may have missed me. My point is only to acknowledge that there will be a point of contention/controversy (and I suspect how strongly will be based on which side the person who brings it up is on) from someone, somewhere. And that is a shame. The game was great. It is a shame that anything will have the chance to take away from that.

And Dan was right, it was the best Alexander had played all year. I can't gauge how well Fairfield Union played as I have not seen them otherwise, but I suspect it was one of their better games and it clearly showed they have earned their positive record.

I'd take quality games like that one any night of the week.
