I just felt like we earned that play and win and I didn`t like people trying to downplay it or excuse it like they did in the Athens Messenger. It was a great game and yes we had to play pretty well to beat you that night.....and then we layed an egg two days later in the rain and lost to BC. Good luck to Alex the rest of the year. You guys have always been classy ever since we started playing you.

You make it sound like a bad thing..... 1st rule of the game ...do not taunt you opponents while heading into the restroom ..... 2nd rule ...never and I mean never underestimate the value of a strong schedule. and finally rule #3.... a wounded animal is a no win situation.... Best to you and the Falcons the rest of the year...

Robinhood.............first off I am not a player, so you know. I would be interested to know about the 1st rule you are talking about because I never heard of anything like that happening. If it did than that is shameful on our players part. The 2nd rule, I agree with you wholeheartedly and have been harping on that for years. That`s the only way this program is going to get better and the teams we had coming up the last couple years should have played better competition. Last, the 3rd rule......that was something I was very worried about as a parent.....that you guys had nothing to lose and we did, a possible chance at a league title. I think we were over confident unfortunately.
Good luck to you the rest of the year. You guys beat us fair and square, I apologize if it seemed like I was making excuses. My son played select with a few of your players and I have a good relationship with some of your parents.

The unfortunate incident did occur....and if I had not seen it I would have just blown it off. I hate seeing players form a program that is on the rise as FU's be brought down by certain kids thinking (or the lack there of) this is a smart thing to do ... I have a lot of good ties with the FU area including my better half.... and want them to succeed other than 1 game a year ... also FU's league chances are not out of tough .... just win out ....

Robinhood, I would like to know what the taunt was and if it was done by a varsity player or reserve. I find it rather out of character of any of the upper classmen to have said anything. Not saying it didn't happen just know the demeaner of those boys. I will be asking my son if he knows anything about it. They all know better than to do anything but put it on the field. First I had heard anything.

It was a varsity player and that is all the information I will give ....they were in a group....at the concession stand/Restrooms after the half of the jv game ... was very disappointing to me also .... but I hope they can learn form it. They have too much talent and have been a class act for years and this is the first time I have ever seen this happen.
