Thoughts on who will be the top teams this year in the area?

I think manchester could be a tough team...they will be young at some spots but will have some decently good pitching...they have a few decent hitters playin this year...but as the season progresses they will get better

Alot of talk about valley. Hope they do well and remember if you can win the district you get to play a catholic or an amish team or maybe even a catholic amish team. lol And that is not an easy task. Just ask Southern.

i realy think lucasville could go to state since they are now D4. of coarse it is baseball and anyone can beat anyone on any given day so if they dont make it past sectionals i am gonna look like an idiot, but talent wise, lucasville has the talent

Getting to the regionals in any division in any sport is no small task. I'm sure coach schuler will have them playing a regular season schedule that will prepare them for a post season run. Taking it one game at a time and getting better as the season goes. This group knows how to win and has to much respect for him or there opponent to take anyone or anything for granted.

and some great young talent as sophomores and juniors who will step up and fill in the holes, dont count these boys out

Leesburg-fairfield will be very yound but talented. Mostly Sophmores, 1-2 seniors, and 0 juniors so far...Last year started freshman at 4 different spots, will be a team on the rise and watch for the next few years to come!

What division are the Fort Frye Cadets, if they are D4, they need to be included in this conversation.

Southern has made 5 straight regional appearances, plus they are loaded in pitching with almost all the pitchers back from last year. I look for them to make another deep run and get over the hump to the state this year.

BLa bla bla, all I here about valley how great they are. Play the stickin games and at the end of the season see who is on top. How far did they go last year with all those seniors? If I remember, D Moore beat them twice last year.

Hobo....they were d3 last year & lost in the regional semi's. They have several starters coming back from last years team. So....in d4 I would say they would be considered a top team. Time will tell. But keep giving them bulletin board material.

Regional semi's in D3 seems pretty good to me. And I doubt one player beat Valley's team by himself.

I agree...MOST teams would be happy to be in the Regional Semis in D-3...

Guess we'll see what they do in D-4 REAL SOON.

GWA I think Valley split with Newark Catholic last year in a doubleheader. So I think they can hold their own.
