The bottom the 7th began with Brock Hannah leading off with a hit to left. With one out Tyler Noel singled and ND had runners at first and second. Coach Bowen then called for an intentional walk to Brad Pierron to load the bases and put the winning run at second base. The next batter hit a ground ball back to the mound. Max Carnahan threw the ball home to catcher Jacob Parker for the force and Parker fired a strike to Colin Connally at first for the 1-2-3 double play to end the game. The celebration was on.
