I talked a lot about this subject on the TVC-TOP 6 blog for this week ... http://trivalleyconference.com/Leaderboards.html

Of course there are other players on teams that I didn't have in the top 6 - but it throws out some insight into the question your asking.

Statistically - Almost the entire Southern line-up could be considered for offensive player of the year:

Roseberry ... .513 batting avg.
Ramthun ... .489
Martin ... .485
Pape ... .480

Roseberry has 23 stolen bases ... Pape has 41 RBI's ... Martin has 32 RBI's and 20 stolen bases ... I mean, its basically up to the coach on who may win the award ... I believe he has to put one player if I'm not mistaken.

TVC Hocing- definitely Taylor for defense. Leaning towards the Pape kid for offensive. Its my understanding Ranthum has been suspended twice this year and missed 7 or 8 games. Can't see a kid like that getting votes. Possible Roseberry

^^^^^^^ If those stats are correct Roseberry and Taylor. I would think JD Chesser would be a lock to make all tvc. Does anyone have his or Coen from Fed stats? I would like to see some stats from other players and teams. How many are selected in baseball for all tvc? Will Miller get any selections?

Chesser & Coen are definitly locks - no doubt about it ... I think those posting stats are saying some of those playerds should be looked at for PLAYER OF THE YEAR. (Not just all TVC)

dont know chessers' exact stats. his batting average is in the 400s, 9 doubles, 5 triples, 1 hr. has only 1 strike out in 80 at bats. rbi's are int he 30s. has double digit walks, probably close to 20. he has been all league and 1st team all district the last 2 years as well as all state honorable mention last year. he has had one good career for the Tomcats, and its tourney time and he usually steps it up and shines there.

Go to the trivalleyconference.com home page and scroll down to the 'all-league basketball' list ... I think baseball has a similar set-up ... http://trivalleyconference.com/

I would hate to name names in fear of leaving a player out - there are A TON OF GOOD players in both leagues ... I think it will actually be somewhat hard for coaches to narrow it down - if only a few (or even 1 player) is named All-TVC from each team.

(i.e.) if federal Hocking only gets two players - how do you choose between Isaac Stack, Romie Casey, Josh Coen? Or heck, even catcher Jon Rose could be considered worthy as is clean-up hitter Terrence Mayle.

The 1st place team use to get 5 players, 2nd 4 players, 3rd 3 players, ect. I don't know if they have changed it or not.

Congrats to all the Southern players. Glad to see Taylor win defensive MVP, really thought Pape was in the running for offensive MVP. It looks like Southern tried to get as many players awards as they could. Great season Tonadoes! Does anyone have the Ohio All TVC?

I used my 'newspaper' contacts to find out what's going on - they too are waiting on the info and would like to print it - but they can't print what they don't have.
